OM Alka Pandey - An ISO 9001 Company

La Om nasce nel 2001 da un progetto di Alka Pandey per distribuire in Italia la produzione dell’azienda familiare di carta fatta a mano con nuova linea di prodotti legati al packaging e alle decorazioni.
I prodotti delle collezioni Om sono la sintesi dell’incontro dei migliori Designer Italiani che danno spunti su forme e colori piu’ di tendenza e la centenaria tradizione dell’arte di produrre la Carta a Mano in India ed in particolar modo della zona dove quest’arte si e’ maggiormente conservata.
Negli ultimi anni le famiglie reali si sono impegnate nel tener viva questa tradizione che consente di creare una fonte alternativa di sostentamento e tutelare un importante patrimonio di conoscenze che vengono tramandate da secoli.

La produzione di tutte le carte della Om vengono fatte interamente con utilizzo del telaio a mano, un foglio alla volta, con una tecnica tradizionale e asciugate all’aria.

The Om was founded in 2001 by a project by Alka Pandey to distribute in Italy the production of the family company of handmade paper with a new line of products related to packaging and decorations. The products of the Om collections are the synthesis of the meeting of the best Italian Designers who give ideas on more trendy shapes and colors and the centenary tradition of the art of producing Hand Paper in India and in particular the area where this art has been more conserved. In recent years, the royal families have committed themselves to keep alive this tradition that allows us to create an alternative source of sustenance and protect an important heritage of knowledge that has been handed down for centuries. The production of all the cards of the Om are made entirely using the hand loom, one sheet at a time, with a traditional technique and dried in the air.
